DH finished baling our hay fields today.   We have a total of 34 6x6 round bales.   I wish we could have gotten more but with the weather the second cutting wasn`t as good as the first.  DH and his dad are planning on taking off a steer, cow and her heifer calf Friday to the stock sales. That will leave us with 12 big cows, 2 baby heifers,  and a steer calf.  Horns, one of our big cows still hasn`t had her calf yet.  Her milk sack it getting bigger and she looks like she is about to bust.  So hopefully it won`t be long.  I think my little pygmy goat is going to have a baby too.
I have about five of my chickens, I am wanting to get butchered soon.   With me being sick this past week,  I am behind on a lot of stuff.    We will be closing down the pool this weekend.  It is just about done.  I need to run the vaccum in it.  Which I plan on doing tomorrow.    DH has been cutting wood.   We already have one pile stack at the house and he will start working on the wood we keep at the barn.   Well I can`t think of anything going on right now.   sheryl

Please show pictures of your baby cow(s) and baby goats ( if your goat has babies ) when they get born.
I love to hear about what is going on at your farm, thank you for sharing.

We need to get our wood stores ready for winter....it seems we are always last minute with that homestead responsibility. I'm hoping that our two dairy goats will be bred soon for spring kidding. We only keep a buck around till his job is done because they are *sooooo* nasty, LOL. Glad you are feeling better.
