• Thursday, September 13, 2007 - I have an awful cold
Just a quick post. I have an awful cold. I put in one rough night. I would be freezing one minute and burning up the next. I have been doing this off and on all day. My throat is so sore it hurts to sallow. I am drinking hot tea right now to see if that will help and then I am going to use warm salt warm. I have to say my kids really stepped up today and took care of everything. We didn`t school because I just didn`t feel like it. My oldest daughter came home from school and cooked dinner for everyone. Right now, she is gone to the store to pick me up some cough drops. The younger ones fixed their own breakfast and lunch. Okay it was cold cereal and sandwiches, but it nice to know they won`t starve. They did all the animal chores. It is nice to know when I can`t be there, they can take good care of themselves. They did a good job. I did have to take them down to the end of the holler to meet the book mobile. It is nice when the library comes to you and you don`t have to go to it. Well I am going back to bed and I sure hope I feel better tomorrow. sheryl

I hope you feel better. Believe it or not Vick's vaporub on the feet with socks helps colds. Take plenty of vitamin C (5000), zinc, and echinasea.
