• Wednesday, August 22, 2007 - Finally taking a break
Yelp, I am finally taking a little break. I have been going at it since 6:30 this morning. We have been done with schooling for about an hour now. It went really well. I have all my laundry done except one load left to do. I have vacummed out the car. I have been cleaning off the front porch. I am going to scrub it down later when it isn`t so hot. Cooked lunch for the kids and myself. I waited a little long to eat and my sugar started dropping. I know better, but I just get busy and forget to eat. Plus I am trying to lose weight. But after I get off here I am going to pick what tomatoes I have left and make some hot salsa. I have been promising my dh and dd I would make some of it. I did end up with 11 quarts of tomato juice and I put up 20-1 gallon bags of corn on the cob. I didn`t have any beans to put up. With all the hot weather and little rain, they just didn`t do anything. I also had about 6-1gallon bags of blackberries. But my apples trees are loaded and I hope to make apple butter. I hope to put apples in the freezer and can some too.
I have also worked on the pool. I need to go and put the vaccum in it. I am ready to shut it down, but I will have to wait a couple more weeks. Kids wants to swim as long as they can.
I took the things I have setting on the top of my kitchen cabinets down and cleaned them. I cleaned the top of the cabinets too. DH helped me vaccummed the kitchen ceiling. I vaccummed the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. I am going to vaccum the livingroom ceiling today but I will have to wait on the familyroom and dinningroom until tomorrow. I would ask dh if he would but I think he wants to work on the pool this evening when he gets home.
I am just about finished with my baby quilt. I have one or two more blocks to quilt and sew the binding on it. I want to take a pic and post it but I have to find the camera first. Well better go. I have tomatoes waiting to be picked. sheryl
