Thank You Jesus For Everything!

Hello everyone and blessings to you!! My thoughts today are

I greeted this day with love in my heart; I praised my enemies; I thought

“I love you” silently to all I met and I loved my self enough to protect my body from overindulgence and my mind from evil and despair.

This is truly a habit breaker for me about the over indulgence cause of this I am doing today is forming new habits in a new way for a new life I began yesterday. Protecting me from evil and despair thoughts is something I have been working on for a long while now although every now and again they try to enter and upon acknowlegement I shut the door so they enter not.

To each and every one of us, love gives the power of working miracles if we will. Lydia M. Child

Have a blessed and powerful day!! rilda *U*

Turning over a new leaf

I have for a long time throughly enjoyed discussing various issues with other believers, but I have realized unless you are truly in a group of like-minded persons that cannot be done. I find things like the rapture timing, modest dress, once saved always saved, pre-trib vs post-trib type things not only intriguing but facinating topics of discussion..but in recent months and weeks it has been painfully shown to me that those things cannot be discussed amongst mixed denominations, someone will surely get angry...I have realized the only good place to have an opinion is in your own home or within those people you know are truly like you. This has actually been a very painful process for me, but one I am sure I will grow me. My husband and I know we are a dying breed in this society, we still believe in the 'old paths', traditional roles for men and women, husbands being home nightly ministering to their families, we believe in tending the ground, gardening, canning, sewing, making as much yourself as you can, we believe in using cash only for transactions, if you must have debt for land/home or vehicle you pay that off as quickly as you can .and living BELOW your means. We believe a time is coming like no other we have ever seen and it is truly time to be prepared to provide for  your family (with the Lords help)and through the grace of God you will be able to bless others. Yes, we are a dying breed...but we are on a the wonderful path God put us on and I suppose we are proud to be following out Lord and Savior in a world where so many follow the stock market, or books, or even new versions of the bible...We are only in our early 40's and we admire those that walked this path before us...we have so much to learn from the 'farmers' that went ahead of us, and the Amish, wow, there is so very much to glean from their way of living, not doctrine, but skills. As I was sitting here this morning watching the leaves fall from the tree and hit the ground, I decided I need to turn over a new leaf...this will not be easy for me..I am who I am and love good intellectual dicussion but I have vowed to leave certain issues out my internet discussions in some places...That is not saying I will not aire my opinions here on my OWN blog....I can simply allow no comments....LOL...I suppose I tend to forget not everyone is like me or believes like I do...I don't think I am always right, but I am a very black and white type thinker, and most people are not like that and thats ok....so for now I will back up and regroup, make amends where I can and try my best to subdue my desire for 'hot topic' discussion...Let it be known on this day October 7, the year 2008 that I, Kris, have turned over a new leaf and will do my best to honor my words to not have a 'debateable' conversations among mixed denominations.

Yesterdat mornig after getting the children off on the bus, HB and I got the barn work done and prepared for a day of butchering chickens and turkeys. We worked and actually got them all 35 meat birds and 9 turkeys done. WHAT A DAY. I was both cold and hungury when it was all done and the children were just getting home from school when we finished. I was smart in the morning and made a Hamberger soup in the slow cooker for supper and there was still bread left. Yummy and warm supper for a cool Fall day.

I left 20 meat birds whole and frooze them along with 8 turkeys. I kept the smallest turkey out for tonights supper. Yum a fresh turkey what could be better?

I did cut up chicken with the other 15 chickens and made room for them all in the freezer.

We were really behinf this year but time was just not with us, but after chasing chickens off the road all week and finding them in the woods 1/4 mile away then we new it had to be done.

So today is a homey clean up day. I just finished making the stuffing for the bird and putting it tin the oven and now deciding what else im having with it.

It has been really chilly here latly and I can say  really love Fall

Lots of new things happening here...

My two husbands (j/k) and I took a trip to the other side of Louisville to pick up a tiny little camper (haha)...It is going to double as a guest house this month as company starts pouring in this coming Monday.  It was one of my uncle's unfinished projects so I got a good deal.  I am going to go finish the tile in the living area as soon as I am done here.....It is soooo nice and big...plenty of room for my family of 6.  Everything works great and it has 2 slideouts at the back so it really spreads out...I will post interior pictures later on.

Another addition to the farm is a 4 1/2 month old mountain cur pup we have named Shug....she is beautiful.  She hates my J.R. but I think they will tolerate each other.  Shw is warming up to Bigdaddy in this picture...

We bought me a newer car...It is a really bright red durango....it has the third seat so we all fit very comfortably.  We figured with the dually in our lives we had no need for the suburaban....so out with the old in with the new.  My sweet suburban found a nice home with plenty of kids to haul...heehee.  It is a big change going from big white to sporty red but I can handle it...

The husband even dyed my hair to match my new SUV....See...I am a red head now, kinda, with the attitude to match!  I still have my blonde moments too....Goes great with the carhartt bibs I am sure....lol

It has been so crazy busy here...sorry I have been so behind on this blog.  Now, I hear the rain has finally started up here...we needed it so bad!  I am heading down to the camper to tile!!!  Woohoo!!!  Later taters!!!

What Love!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Have you ever stopped to think how much Christ suffered during His trial and crucifixion? Think of all the pain He must have gone through when they placed the crown of thorns on His head, hit Him with a reed, had Him scourged, and when the nails pierced His hands and feet. The pain must have been nearly unbearable. Not only did He face physical pain but also the fact that He was alone. The perfect Son of God died the cruelest death, the death of the most wicked criminal with the sins of the whole world on his

shoulders.

While He was hanging on the cross, the thieves who were being crucified with Him mocked Him. But after watching and listening to Jesus for a while and noticing how He loved His persecutors, one thief repented of his past life. Notice how Jesus, though ridiculed earlier, forgave the man and promised him eternal life. The love of Christ amazes me. What can I do to possess this kind of love? Imagine asking God to forgive those who are tormenting you. Though we know we should have this kind of love, it seems so often it is easier to hold a grudge against our enemies. Do not! Love like Christ did while He was suffering.

Just before He died, Jesus said, “It is finished!” I do not think He meant only that His life was finished, but also, now the plan of salvation was complete. Through His death He had made it possible that we could be saved.

Praise God that Jesus did not remain dead! Within a few days He arose, the glorious conqueror of death. Jesus is still alive today, and I praise Him with my whole heart. He conquered death and has shown me how to be victorious through loving as He has loved me.

Marlin Coblentz, Hicksville, OH

Christ has done so much for me, the least I can do is live for Him.

Can someone out there in blog land tell me what year this was manufactured? It was given to me and needs a  little work, but it can be very useable when the work is done...

Thank You Jesus For Everything!

Love is never lost. If not reciprocated, It will flow back and soften and purify the heart. Washington Irving

This week I will my words to renew my mind to allow God's will to flow in and through my life.

I greeted this day with love in my heart; I praised my enemies; I thought “I love you” silently to all I met and I loved my self enough to protect my body from overindulgence and my mind from evil and despair.

Willing my will to be the will of Gods.

Have a blessed day!! rilda
