Faith Farm

Good Morning!

I just wanted to stop in quickly and update whats going on here at faithfarm.  We have had a very busy week here.  My DS is graduating High School this Fri. night-so we have been preparing and making plans for him.  My youngest sister has 'broke ground' on her place in the back of the property.  We have almost completed the little cottage.  It has went up remarkably fast.  We dried it in yesterday-today is the siding and shingles!   Here at our place we have started the new siding and put in the back door!  I am so happy to have a real back door!  It is an answered prayer!  All the critters are fairing well--we have one of our older milking does off feed.  She still eats hay and grass but no grain.   I'm not sure whats going on with her yet.  I have done everything and checked everything I could possibly come up with...I pray she is back to normal soon.  Everything else is doing fine.  I am looking forward to getting back to some kind of routine next week...I miss the rhythm of my normal schedule.  I look forward to catching up with all of your blogs!  Blessings>faithfarm

Was wondering what was wrong with your milk doe?
Did she have diarrhea? The reasaon I ask is because you mentioned taking her off the grain.
Pray your son has a blessed graduation!!

Rabbits

I've recently been reading your entries on raising rabbits. I have found them very interesting especially sense we are now getting ready to raise them. We had raised some several years ago but we weren't very successful as we weren't real focused on their purpose at that time. I was wondering if you would be willing to post typical butchering process, butchering age, does this enable you to have fresh meat year round? Do you use the meat mainly as a stew meat? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. If you've already posted this info and I just missed finding it could you tell me where in your archives it would be?
Thanks so much for all the great info you are sharing!
