Last light

Good morning!  I hope you all are feeling well this morning.  I am feeling much better this morning.  I am starting to regain my strength now and my voice is almost back to normal-yeah!  (this flu thing was a doozy!)  It did give me a chance to watch a classic 'Anne of Green Gables' and 'Anne of Avonlea'.  Which is a wonderful movie.  I really enjoyed it alot.  I would recommend it to anyone.  I also read a book called Last Light by Terri Blackstock.  It is a Christian Fiction Novel and I believe it is the first of three in a series.  I don't normally have time to read much fiction so I'm not sure how long it has been out.  It was a well written - easy to read - story about a global catastrophe that takes out all electricity and communication.  It basically puts everyone back to the time before electricity.  A wonderful portrayal of the human heart and emotions.  She follows one families struggle to adapt to the new world situation.  It is definately not a read for younger people.  It is an exciting "what-if" story for adults filled with suspense.  If any of you have read this book or are going to please share your opinion on this blog.  I would love to hear your thoughts on it.  I'll do a book review on the next in the series as soon as I read it.  Blessings>faithfarm

That sounds like a book I would like to read. I wonder if it's at the library.?.? I'm going to check later today. Thank you for sharing this. I absolutely love to read. Of course time is always an issue. But my Dad had us (my brother and myself) reading for a short time before we would go to sleep. Both of us still do that. Even if I only read a paragraph or two. I can't just turn the lights out and go to sleep. I have to read then turn out the lights. I'll let you know what I think of the book. Blessings to you, Elizabeth
