Good morning! I was just wondering how many of you out there married your highschool sweetheart? The reason I ask is I married mine. I am really blessed to be married to a wonderful man. We grew up in a very small town and played together as children. He lived on one end of the dirt road and I lived on the other. Just like the song says I knew how many fence post from his house and mine..LOL. We have always managed to meet in the middle. When I look back at all the life we have had together I can't help but smile. It is an amazing feeling...even all these years later...he is still my sweetheart, my best friend. He is calm and quiet natured...my rock. I can honestly say...no one knows me better than him. We have walked through so many things in our life..grown together..found God together...We have built our life together. When I look at my children (18yrs & 8yrs) I remember us at that age. Wow-how time goes by--I pray that my children are blessed with such a great marrage....I am greatful!
If you married your highschool sweetie-I'd love to hear the story....We hear so many negative stories about divided families and divorce..I thought it would be nice to hear some tried and true success stories...marrage is not always easy, but life long love and commentment is still possible-I can't think that it was just the way it used to be for our grandparents.......Blessings>faithfarm

We met when I was 16 and he was 19. He was in a vocational college and I was in the 10th grade.
We have been together since then. We have been married for 19 years and I pray for many more together.
He is my BEST friend and knows me better than anyone. I thank The Lord for him every day. Nobody else would put up with me the way he does.
It is nice to see that The Lord does bring people together for His glory. He deserves all of the praise!
Blessings,
Amanda <><

I met my dh when I was 16 - he came to my 16th birthday party. We didn't go to the same school tho.
It's kinda scary to think in 1 1/2 years time our dd could meet her future husband too - feels too young really. - or maybe I am just old.
We have been married 21 years.
Love Leanne NZ
Oh, that's us!

My husband and I met when we were 16, the summer before our senior year in high school. We went to different high schools about 2 hours apart and then to different colleges about 7 hours apart. Married 5 years to the day after we met and will celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary this June. I can't imagine being married to anyone else!

My hubby was my highschool sweet heart!!
We met and became GOOD FRIENDS when I was 15... we 'dated' on and off thru highschool.
Then he went to 2 year technical school and we were really "off".
Then I went to 2 year business school and we were really "on" and became engaged.
A year after our marriage we re-committed our lives and our marriage to the Lord....then we were REALLY ON!!
He too is my rock, and I have no doubt he is the man God created to be my husband... he truely completes me... he is so......oh the words...I could use...but I don't want to get sappy..
May will be 10 years of marriage...but really if you count when we 'started' I've "loved" him for LITERALLY 1/2 my life!! yep...that is pretty neat to think about!!
Great entry...
And us too

I was dating my DH's best friend when I was a freshman in HS. He was a junior. My parent's did not in any way approve of my boyfriend-of-choice. However, every time his best friend came along my parents would say, "Why can't you date a nice boy like him?" Finally I came to senses, and distanced myself from my current boyfriend. Then my now hubby made his famous move (with his best friend's "approval") and the rest is history. We have been in love since I was 14.
Me too...well kind of

I was 16 when we met, but 17 when we started dating. There was a lot of controversy about our dating because he was 23 at the time. My Dad was not pleased to say the least. We married when I was 21 and had our first child when I was almost 25.
It is so neat to look back and see how God brought us through a lot of struggles and made it all work. There were so many odds against us from the start. This year we will have been together for 15 years (married for 10 of those years) and it doesn't seem real. I honestly would have never guessed this when we started dating.
