Things that make me smile

Do you ever stop long enough to think about all those things that make you really happy-those things that bring a warm smile to your face.....here is some of my favorite things:

My DH Bible-(I love to read his), my children, my lil' house, woodstoves, mornings, hot coffee w/cream, ice tea w/sugar, pregnant goats-there so cute,  cast iron skillets, the smell of rain, fresh tilled dirt, the crock-pot (whoever invented that gadget was a genius), gathering fresh eggs, soup (who doesn't love a good bowl of soup!), catching a really big fish, the look on my daughters face when she "get's it" after working so hard to understand, a row of fresh cut wood, Spring, that feeling of a job well done, the first veggie's out of the garden, a good nights rest, the feeling of a heavy quilt on the bed, being the first person outside in the morning (everything fresh and new), new socks.......the list goes on and on.  One of the greatest blessings in my life has been the ability to find joy in the simple things in life.  Real joy unlike anything I ever felt before.  Finding peace in a crazy world--discovering true happiness.  You really can't explain it--- God is so good to us.
