Holiday Greetings!

Good Morning Friends!  I hope this finds you all well.  First let me wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a peace-filled New Year!  

Things have been going fine here on the farm.  Rabbit breeding season is in full swing so it's bunnies-bunnies everywhere!  The goats are looking very pregnant now and the babies will be arriving at the end of Feb.  The new goat barn is almost all framed in and hopefully we will be able to finish it up as soon as the weather cooperates a bit.  It will make this years kidding season so much better!  The Chickens are laying an unbelievable amount of eggs for this time of year-Thank God for that--It sure has been nice with all the holiday baking going on.  The last turkey and the butcher hogs has made it to the freezer.  Hunting season has been very successful as well and I have tried my hand at a few new ways of putting up meat.  I finally figured out the whole making Jerky thing!  It has made the boys very happy.  We are finishing up the last of the Christmas gifts--we decided this would be a homemade Christmas for all this year.  The entire family has participated and it will be very exciting to see all that everyone has made.    Other than that there is not much to tell--just life at its norm.  I am beginning to daydream about the spring gardens and am entertaining an idea to put in a new garden bed.  Winter has just officially arrived yesterday and I am already looking forward to planting again-LOL.  There is just something about planting a seed and watching it grow--It just amazes me everytime!  Well I am off to make a batch of jelly and to get the house ready for company.  Peace be with you.
