Raw Oatmeal
We have been trying to incorporate more raw foods into our diet. Each new raw item I add has added to my energy levels substantially - it is amazing to feel the difference in my body! I need every ounce of energy I can get - as most of us do. Most things that are healthy really can be pretty disappointing taste wise - but I have found a few exceptions! This is my favorite - way better than cooked oatmeal!
Raw Oatmeal:
3 cups raw whole oat groats, soaked overnight on the counter (more or less depending on your family size)
In the morning, put fresh, frozen and/or dried fruit in the blender with the whole, rinsed oat groats, add other goodies (coconut oil, honey, maple syrup, cinnamon, bee pollen, milk, juice, water, etc.) and blend - it is that simple!
Our favorite combos have been:
1. Fresh strawberries, coconut oil, dried apricots, honey and water
2. Apples, cinnamon, maple syrup, coconut oil and water
I love this stuff! And since I change a lot of diapers I know what it does to help clean you out .
