Me and Ellie
While going through some photographs this week, I came across one of Ellie, my Buff Orpington hen, and I. This picture was taken about 7 years ago. As soon as I saw it, memories came flooding back. On that fall evening Dad and I sat on some weathered, old boards outside and watched our 29 chickens run around the yard. A few would come on down from the barn to check out what Dad and I were up to, and they were greeted with scratch grains. The shades of night fell, and that evening was tucked away in my memories, but even though it seems so simple to recall, it means so much to me. I’ll never forget the good times my family and I had outside doing chores with our “girls” running around the yard; taking a little time to just enjoy the sunset, with Ellie and making wonderful memories with my Dad and Mom. Isn’t it funny how memories are made out of the simple things in life? Yet, they are more precious than the latest thing on the “wish list” and will be far more priceless to us months and years from now! Today is God’s gift to you… fill it with beautiful memories that will stand the test of time! Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 5 of 9 } { Next Page } |
