Lemons

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.  Well, I think that is how that phrase goes.  Gosh about a month ago dh grandfather passed away, about 3 weeks ago my mom had a mini stroke and a week ago today dh fell at work and dislocated his ankle, broke a bone in his leg and that bone split.  He had surgery and now has a plate and 5 screws in his ankle.  One screw will be removed in 6 weeks.  No weight bearing for 6 weeks either.  DH works night and last week when the phone rang at 3:47 am, and on caller id it said his name I had a BAD feeling.  He had surgery Monday night, came home Tuesday evening.  Wednesday morning we got up, we all were sitting at the table having breakfast.  DH complained of not feeling well. My first thought was lets get you to the bathroom if you are going to be sick.  He said he could not make it.  I got up to get a towel and rag, I heard him say,"Man, I am hot". Next I heard ds12 screem,"mommy, its daddy".  I turned and dh was a dark gray and sweating so bad it looked like he had a shower.  I ran to him, tried to keep him talking ( no such luck) and told ds12 to run to the neighbors for help.  A God moment, I forgot to recharge the phone the night before and it was laying on the table next to me.  I called 911, as the operator answered dh  threw his had back, his eyes rolled back and he was out for 30-60 seconds.  He went by ambulance and diagnosis was dehydration, which caused his blood pressure to crash. I felt my world change for those 30 - 60 seconds. My dependence on my husband, tag team parenting, finacial security and so much more.  It has also made me realize how much I do not depend on my Heavenly Father.  That too makes me sad!
