Bleck! LOLI tried a new recipe tonight. No Bake chocolate peanut butter cookies. They were too chocolatey and too sweet. I had tried a similar recipe from a friend, it had carob powder however, which was milder on my tongue... I'm not a huge chocolate fan. It uses oats in the recipe, but adding coconut would be good as well, maybe some nuts.... Mmmmm, now to get creative and make my own recipe... LOL. I also love a chocolate peanut butter no bake cookie made with chinese noodles. But I never can find the recipe, but it sure is good to eat. Does anyone have that recipe? Tonight for supper we had Chicken Fajitas... The girls had bean burritos...they'd rather avoid the peppers and onions. Oh, well, more for Dh and Me! LOL. Yesterday I made Cinnamon Raisin Bread and the girls were happy with that. It was my first time using the fruit and nut cycle, however I got a phone call in the middle of it and missed the beeper to add the raisins. I dumped them in later, but they didn't mix in well, so I had to sort of roll them into the bread when I shaped in into loaves. It turned out alright. Then I forgot and went outside with Paige while they were baking. No one heard the beeper on the stove, and when I finally remembered... I ran inside... the top just starting to get too dark, but it didn't taste burnt at all... Whew! I also made some whole wheat bread...which is almost gone tonight, so more bread baking tomorrow, If I get it worked into the schedule. For the rest of my day, I spent doing some laundry outside. I also went through my oldest daughter's school and tried to figure out what exactly was left to accomplish before graduating this spring. She's counting down and it is nice to see... just a few days left of math, a few days left of computer, etc. But we have some subjects that need some major time with to get them done... My fault, plus lambing sure put us behind a bit. Plus, I need to get going planning a graduation. I met up with a homeschooling friend whom I haven't seen much in the last two years and she is in the same boat... her son the same age as my daughter. We may join forces and do a double graduation. That would be fun and make it not so "lonely" for my daughter to graduate alone. Well, need to get my little one off to bed. She's begging to go nite nite. *grin* Warmly, ~Melissa
