Friday's thoughts...

It's been a very fast week.  Today has been busy.

We've been blessed with warmer weather.  Dh got some wood chopped yesterday, so we now have a stockpile of wood that is split.  Should last us until after Christmas.  It has been so warm, though, that it is very muddy and smelly.  lol.  I guess farm animals can be smelly, but in the summer the rains come and help freshen the air and in the winter it's frozen... but right now it's just hanging around... ewww! 

I have started to work on the costumes for the Christmas Program that I have to make.  I have two tunics half done.  I need to do two more after that and then a pair of pants and a soldier's costume.  I left it until the last minute.. .I always do that.  But unfortunately I forgot that I have a church board meeting to attend next week and Christmas plans... shopping... I am NO WHERE near ready.  Where did my time go?  I guess I deserve that for procrastinating!

I am enjoying everyone's blogs.  I found some recipes I want to try out... someone had soft molasses cookies...  they just sound delightful.  I have been looking for a nice soft "moldable" cookie.  I wonder what type of frosting might be good on that, though... my mouth is watering thinking about it!  lol.

Today we were busy with housework.  Got the house picked up, cleaned and mopped... looks pretty good, aside from my trouble room.  (that's in process and soon to be no longer a trouble).   I have done 5-6 loads of laundry today... I didn't realize I was behind until the girls all emptied their hampers into the laundry room... *sigh* It was an awfully nice laundry week... until today.  *grin*  Oh, I don't mind laundry, I just prefer to do 2-3 loads a day, not all at once.  

We got some of tomorrow's cooking done today, which reminds me I should start on supper.  Tonight we are having cottage cheese loaf with baked potatoes and possibly another corn dish.  I have leftover salad... although, it would make the meal heavy on cottage cheese....but it does need to get eaten up... debating, debating... ya, we'll eat it, too.  Oh well.  Some days aren't the most perfect gourmet meal days...  I still need to make some bread as well... that'll be late night bread, won't it?  The bread is for tomorrow, so it really won't matter, as long as it doesn't keep me up late.  I'm trying to get the house warm enough for bread to rise quickly... seems the wood stove doesn't want to take off... it's just sitting there smoldering... 

Not much else is up... just checking in.

You've been really busy! Hopefully all will slow down and you can enjoy the run up to Christmas.
