I am looking at changing the background colors on my blog.  Does anyone know where to find a number code for the colors?

Do a Google search on "hex colors". You'll have a lot of links, but I usually go for a page that looks "simple" for me to deal with. I don't have my links handy, otherwise I'd give them to ya.

You get the image that you want for your new background uploaded to an online image hoster (like photobucket.com or imageshack.com). Copy the code they give you and insert it in your template where it says:

background-image:url(http://www.homesteadblogger.com/images/templates/dkpurple.gif);
}

(Put your new code in place of the homesteadblogger template code.) If it's still not right, then just keep playing with it. You may want to try using a different code that your image hoster offers, (I think they usually offer 4) or something. I hope this helps. Oh, and you will need to get a free account at the photo hoster if you don't have one already. There may be other ways to just change just the color, I don't know. I've never actually changed my background image, just my banner. I imagine you may have trouble getting the right size, or having your image tile in which case you would have to play with the spacing codes. (I know, fun...)

This site no only has the basic colors but underneath you can play with the shades yourself and the code will come up.
