Happy Easter! and answer to shampoo question

Happy Easter Everyone!!

I hope you all have a blessed day. My grampa and uncle, on my moms side, came down to our place this morning. We're having a big supper with them. Roast, fruit salad, veg. salad, potatos, biscuts, and prolly some other stuff... not sure yet I havn't heard the whole dinner menu yet.

Some people have been asking what I wash my hair with because I don't use shampoo. I don't use any thing. I just rinse my hair real good when I first get in and then condition and rinse agian. If I get really really smelly/sweaty(from working in the barn or playing sports) I'll use just a teaspoon or so of shampoo on my scalp.  I've never had a problem with getting that oily smelly scalp. I guess you'll just have to try it to see what I mean.

I know what you are talking about, because we have tried it. If you get away from shampoo then the scalp will balance out. The shampoos have something in them that will aggravate the oil gland and they don't work right. Causing too much oil or not enough.
We use egg whites, when we feel that our scalps need a good cleaning. We always use a conditioner on the ends to help get the tangles out.

I think people will be much happier with their hair if they would stop using shampoo. I do think it takes a week or two for the scalp to adjust to the change.

I just posted on Rachel's blog about this same thing. I'm intrigued by all this no shampoo talk. I told her that my hair is dry yet my scalp is oily. My hair waffles from looking like straw to looking like a grease bath. I'm just not sure how I feel about this. I guess I should give it a try, huh?

I do know that my younger son has trouble getting his hair clean and we can always tell when doesn't use shampoo, or if he doesn't wash it properly. His looks terribly gross. I guess I'm afraid it'd look like that...

I just started not using shampoo because we read what you had to say. So last Friday I used egg whites and conditioner. It was kind of gooey but it worked find. My hair was fluffy afterwards.
