TOTO, I DON'T THINK WE'RE IN WASHINGTON ANY MORE!!!!!

Hello from the WINDY city in Washington!!!

My gosh the wind here is so bad that I had to go and chase the grandbabies little blow up pool around the yard. The trees are just whipping around and you can hear the leaves in the wind.  I normaly do not mind the wind, but when your weeping willow is even having a bad hair day, you know it's bad! he he

I remember working at the school during lunch and how the women helping would always hate windy days. You could here them grumble because they knew for a fact that the kids were going to be impossible to work with. Something about the wind stirs kids up to a frenzy at times. I believe it to be true, because this morning my little doodlebug was all wound up tighter than a tick and would not settle down. Bless his heart, right now he's taking his nap and giving grandma a reprieve!

With all that is going on, all I want to do is go to my sewing room and sew. I have gotten doodlebugs three pairs of summer jammies done. I was up until 11:00 p.m. getting the buttonholes and buttons done. I am hoping to get a few more things done this weekend.

Speaking of weekends, Hubby and I will be celebrating our 28 Anniversary on Saturday. Gosh, it doesn't seem that long, but it has. I guess we are just enjoying the ride! Since we are going to watch doodlebug for part of the day, Hubby asked me what I wanted to do. Well, I'm not one for fancy dinners, fancy things, and really need for not, so I am thinking just a good barbque ( if the wind has died down by then) and a good movie. Hubby always tell everyone he meets that he is the luckiest man around. He found him a wife that doesn't like fancy diamonds, gold, clothes or cars! Give me an old beat up truck, fresh home grown food, pair of comfy jeans and a plain wedding band and I'm happy as a clam. I don't know what he is going to bbq but who cares, I won't have to cook. Although, I am kinda hunkerin for some of my homemade bbq beans.

As I am going through and clean out my freezers, I have decided to make a list of all the things that I need to get put up this year and what I need to look for in buying, produce wise, from the local farmers if I don't have enough. A couple of the things I need to do is make some good chili sauce for making one of my bbq sauces. I am thinking of also making up some bbq sauce so that I have it on hand. I would love to have some sloppy joe mix made but don't have a recipe that I like yet. Anyone out there have one to share?

O.K., I need to go and find out what just went boom outside! Might be the grandbabies toys from the pool hitting the fence, who knows.

Will talk to you later.

Greetings from a fellow Washingtonian! And my goodness did it gust and blow here in Spokane. Did you hear about the fires? We are within a couple of miles of the devastating one that took four homes. We watched the enormous plumes all evening. What a tragedy!

I am up and watching the news this morning. I hope that your family is safe and out of harms way. Hubby and I were just in that area Monday heading into the valley.
