dankel farm life

Well it has been awhile since I last blogged but I have been busily working away at my home.  We redid our entire downstairs and my it feels so nice.  Took some time off from homeschooling to get things done around here.  Back to schooling this week and it feels nice.  I had thought of selling our last 2 goats but chnaged my mind knowing that they were great mommas and milkers.  Today I was able to locate a buck for them and will be glad to be breeding them with a boer and will be butchering a buck for our family. 

We will be picking up our hog from the locker this week which will be wonderful for our freezer!!  Already thinking about chicks for this coming spring and aready checking out seed catalogs as I like to get seeds started by the end of January.  We keep having such mild weather I am ready fro spring while winter has just really started.  Todays high temp. was 50 degrees.  Crazy!!  Anyway I must be off!!  Have a blessed Sunday!!    -Dawn
