12:50 PM, Monday, March 6, 2006 .. Posted in Gardens .. 2 comments .. Link

I'm totally insane!! Yesterday, I was clicking around Homesteadbloggers, and found a blog talking about making your own mulch. Well, I left a comment, asking how you do that. Do you think I can remember where I was? NO!!!!  So........If you're that blogger, would you please leave me a comment, and let me know where I was!?!

See, there IS a reason why my personal blog is called "Linda's Lunacy"!   ROFLOL

I saw that blog, too, but don't remember where it was. However, you can make mulches in many different ways. You can get a shredder (rent or buy or borrow) and chop up your tree branches easily. You can use cut grass. You can use old straw or hay. You can lay newspapers down and cover them with fresh dirt. You can use plastic (ugh). You can use just about anything to cover the soil. You want something that is easy to spread and can be light enough for plants to grow through. If you have already planted your plants, you put your mulch around the plants. If you have not, you put your mulch down and then dig into the soil below and plant the plants, then tuck the mulch around them again.

Not hard .... Good luck.

Thanks!
