Chicks

The post office called and said our chicks were there. In only 2 days! So I loaded up the little kids. The teenagers were still sleeping. lol  As soon as we opened the door of the post office, we could hear the chicks. lol He came to the counter and said "May I help you?" I said "I'm Linda.... and I believe those little noise makers are mine."  He said "You've come to get the chicks?! I was getting attached to them!" lol So we brought home our 30 little chicks. They are now living in a box in the corner of the living room. The front door has a square of vinyl flooring in front of it, and it's right next to a plug for the light. lol Since they came in 2 days, instead of 7-10, the partition in the chicken house to keep them seperated from the other chickens isn't up yet. Hopefully this weekend that will get done. Because right now, my house smells like a chicken house! Not fun!

I agree ... chickens in the house are cute for about 1 day! Hope you get your partition up quickly. I love baby chickens .... mine are two weeks old and growing fast!

I couldn't help but giggle when I read about your chicken adventures! Ours arrived on March 27 and just went to the coop last week! Not soon enough! This is my first chicken adventure, but I am learning as I go. Hang in there.................I know all too well about the barnyard smell in the house!!
Blessings,
Jodi
