Todays milking picture...
We've almost got a full jar... never mind that its a jelly jar and not a gallon size pickle jar as I'd hoped :)

Jennifer, it really does get better! A serious head locking stantion is a necessity, though, to maintain sanity. I tried to milk a well trained third freshener on the ground last year and about lost my head along with my temper....makes the doe and the human cranky.

Dexter cow... she's four yrs old, and never been milked as far as I know...

She did knock me on my rear today... I was squatted down and reaching in to milk and she kicked forward on my arm, I lost my balance and fell backward. Im fine, but it made me mutter under my breath at her!

We are soooo looking forward to our goat being in milk again next month! She gives us about a half gallon in the morning, and again at night at her peak. I milk our goat and that is hard enough...I can't imagine doing a cow!
