Milking a cow
Okay, I never even tried to say this would be an easy thing...  Sure, its not HARD really, but it is work.

A few notes:
1. Do make stall more narrow, cows will move around
2. DONT bring three children with you to stand around chattering
3. DO watch for the rear leg!

and I guess I should put on that list, DONT expect a large amount of milk on your first try!

this is the product of my work... milking a cow in a much too big stall where she was able to turn around in circles and move to the far side of the stall.

I think a stanchion sounds like a wonderful thing...
and now, the picture!

Anybody wanna guess how much butter you can get from a tablespoon of milk... ROFL

Oh well, it was fun trying, and tomorrow is a new day!

If it helps, that's probably a little more milk that I would've gotten the first time LOL Thanks for the list of do's & don'ts I'm sure they will come in handy when we get that far.

I had to giggle at the picture of the milk. LOL I have never milked a cow, so I can only imagine what it would be like for me to try. LOL

Thanks for leaving the comment on my sewer blog. LOL Thank God we didn't have that big of a bill today! (Glad you didn't have to pay for that on yours either!)

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo
