Closing date rescheduled...but will we move?
They have rescheduled our closing date for November 16th. Hopefully we'll be able to move at that time too, but we are guaranteed possession of the house by December 1st at the latest  I realllllly hope we get to move the weekend of closing, I dont think I can take a whole month of waiting! The good news is that our first house payment wont be due until Jan 1st, so that makes the holiday a bit less frugal. Still wont be many gifts, but we can afford to buy some extras in the foods dept to make a festive holiday anyway. The kids all seem to understand that the house IS our Christmas gift this year. We'll just enjoy the day in our new family room with a fire in the fireplace, maybe let all of the kids take rides on the go-cart that Grandpa bought... and just do special things to make memories in our new home. I had to take a load of stuff to storage on Wednesday, and while I was down in the area I ran by the new house to put some materials on the back porch that dh needed to use for fixing something in the basement. I didnt want to get back in the van to come home. It was so peaceful out there, so quiet and tranquil. Ohhh I cant wait to be moved :) thats our update... so far just packing and moving to storage... and life in general as the days go by. |
