Cancer Stinks!!!
|
Actually I wanted to write cancer something else instead of "stinks" but I didn't want to offend anyone. My mother is at the end stages of breast cancer and probably won't last through the week or next week. I feel rather selfish because I keep thinking, who will make those wonderful collard greens or make this wonderful fried fish she used to make? Who is going to make me absolutely crazy because because they like those false teachers on TV? I don't know if these are normal thoughts or not. She in Riverside and it takes several hours for us to get there. I do hope she will make it through this weekend when we can go visit. We haven't told our girls yet. We just don't want them agonizing each time the phone rings and wondering if that will be the call with news she has gone home.

I will be praying for you dear. I lost my mother last March, and it is normal to think of the things you will miss about your mother....and with you...it is her cooking. It was for me too.....so the first thing I told my two brothers I wanted from the house was her old worn rusted card file recipe box filled to the rim with recipes! LOL I still think of her when making special dishes from her box!!!
I am so sorry to hear you are going through this!!!! My prayers are with you.....and I pray you get to say goodbye in person.
God's Blessings,
Amy Jo
