Decisions

Blessings!

   As we all know, decisions are simply a way of life for us all. It's not something that any one person can get away from. Each moment of our lives is filled with decisions. Whether it be deciding right from wrong, good from bad, less from more, left from right, it's deciding on what the choice should be at that moment.

   As I shared about our dogs impending whelping, so too must decisions be made. Although we adore having a dog and we truly are looking forward to the puppies, my husband and I both agree that we just can't keep any of the puppies. It's not because they are mutts but because we simply have to make a choice.

   We decided, long ago, on our next choice for a dog (or dogs) and if we choose to keep a puppy from this litter then we will have to choose not to go with our original desire for our first choice of breed. The girls are hoping that their brother will take one of the puppies though so they can at least have that one to visit with:) And our boy will probably do just that, especially if they look like the momma:P She is a cutie:) He has always wanted one like her and often tries to make off with her:P She would crawl into the car of Jack the Ripper if she thought he would take her for a rid in the car:P She's a real travel companion:)

   Anyway, our boy doesn't even know these are coming so we'll see how he feels about them when they arrive. Another thing, we figure she probably isn't having more than 2 or 3 since she's so small. According to my past posts on her disappearing and not being allowed off a leash now was February 10. That being the case, if she bred on that very day then she will be due sometime next week. Hopefully she won't have more than that as they will be much easier to find homes for. After that we will definitely have her spayed.

   Again, as I orginally posted, we were certain she was barren! She is 9 and has never gotten pregnant. She has had plenty of opportunity and therefore we made that assumption.

   I just ask for a little prayer on this. That we will find good and loving families for them and that our hearts won't ache so much once they are gone. Our Yoncalla Patch is a sweet girl and we are praying that she does this well and stays healthy and with us for a few more years.
