We fence off our yard area periodically throughout the summer and do this. The cows mow for us. It's a win-win situation!
The cows do the mowing, saving us work. They also fertilize it at the same time. And saves us money to not run a mower.
It also feeds them..and with the drought we had last year here in TN, we let them eat any grass we could find!
