Blessings!

   Well, Just a few days ago I was busy writing some letters when our boy Matthew (the one that just got married in January) phones me to say hey. He proceeds to tell me that he has spent ALL morning at the doctors with Kristina (his bride).

Here's how it went...

Matthew: Hey mom, I just thought you should know that we spent most of the morning at the doctor.

Me: Oh? Who's sick?

Matthew: Kristina. They have run so many tests and she's pretty worn out.

Me: Uh oh! What happened? (she's accident prone)

Matthew: I don't know...something about being pregnant!

Me: Are you kidding? Really? How awesome is God? I can't believe it! This is too much! I have to phone Nana. Are you sure? Oh my goodness! Thank you Jesus!

Matthew: Mom? Mom? Uh...mommy? Helllooooooo? You can breathe now...momma?

So there you have it! Our precious son and his beautiful bride are expecting their first wee one! Yet another moment to remind us how thankful we are that we have two young people that chose to keep themselves for their wedding night. Who chose a handsoff relationship and a 2 year courtship. Wanting to begin a family right away if that be God's will for their lives. We are so very blessed:)

Can you tell I'm excited? I phone my mother who promptly said...what is it? I told her..."it's a baby!" She says, "no I mean is it a boy or a girl?" I re-explain that at 7 weeks you can't tell that yet:P And I'm not sure they want to know. My mother says she wants a girl because she wants so much to get girl things.

We have 2 grandsons already and they live near my mother so she says she's ready for a girl:P Shes so funny:)

We are so excited around here. I don't care what it is, I just want healthy:) They are thrilled. To see them talking about all this you would know how blessed they feel and how loved and wanted this baby is.

God has been so good and they want so much for God to be the head of their home and they are both so anxious to begin a family and for Matthew to take his role seriously as husband, father, leader of his home and Kristina to be the wife, mother and helpmeet. It is one more confirmation the Lord has given us that we raised him in the admonition of the Lord and he is now grown and will not stray far from it:)

So, that's our wonderful news! With all the other things going on in our family right now, this was news we needed:)

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

CONGRATS!!!! NICE

btw in regards to my soap box post, I totally agree, we are trying to get ourselves out of debt so we can go ahead and purchase the land so by the time we retire from the military we can start living pretty much on our own without the help of government stores and what not...sadly none of us will ever be free from the government totally as long as we have land tax....

Living on post housing I do feel blessed to have a garden plot near our home, and we are going to make sure we take full advantage of it too, I just would like to see others think in the same way, as far as learning to do things like this on their own without relying to much on our city stores.... I am also more for MOM and POP type business than anything sadly those too are disappering all in the name of Wal Mart and CHINA...

Thanks for stopping by and again such wonderful news about the upcoming birth of a new grand baby(even if its still 8-9 months away.lol

~~~Thank you for the congrats...we are so excited:)
I couldn't agree more. We try to shop locally and purchase from the locals instead of the large moguls. In fact, we even purchase our fuel from a momNpop gas station:) No big conglomerates for us:)
That's wonderful that you are able to have the garden near you. One of my sister-in-laws lived on base in San Diego (Marines) and she was blessed with the same and took full advantage of it. Of course that was eons ago but still:)
Thank you for visiting:)
God be with thee!
Thanks for the great ideas on what to do with the sewing stand. It will likely end up getting used for mending, but I love hearing what other people might do with such a thing. Anyway, congratulations on your son and daughter-in-love's wonderful news! Once again, the Lord has blessed you so richly. :-)
Blessings,
Monica
