A quick update on my sister-in-law

Blessings!

I wanted to give a quick update on my Sister-in-law. My mother phoned and said she had spoken to my brother and got more details. It was awful sketchy the first time but now that things are settling down for them he was able to spend more time with mother on the phone.

Anyway, here's the scoop. She is paralyzed on the left side only and the good news is she can FEEL on that side:) She is going into rehab tomorrow for 5-6 weeks before allowing her to return home. She doesn't speak yet but is able to type with her right hand and as I understand it she is able to communicate this way. She can also read her emails so I will be writing her tonight:)

I want to do a card shower but am not sure how to go about it. I think that they are ready to see the Lords outpouring through His children. That my brother was "alright" with us praying for them was such a wonderful thing to hear. It did my sisters-heart such good. As my mother said, we would pray even if it DID offend them but wanted them to know anyway:) That they are receptive to it is such a blessing to me.

As I said before, I believe my Sister-in-law believes, I'm just not sure how much and such. My brother has been an agnostic for many years. That is someone that believes that there is an intelligent design to us and our world, a "creator", just not a God to worship. We don't really discuss it because I think he feels that religion is something that is forced on people. I know why he feels this way, due to our oldest brother who is not only a fanatic but in a religious cult no less. He forces his veiws on everyone and well, that's getting way off subject. Just suffice to say that I think he turned my brother off to religion of any kind. I know that was the affect it had on me and why I was 30 before I came to Christ. Nuff said:)

I love my brother and Sister-in-law so very much. They have always been there if I really needed anything all my growing up. The moved to Wisconsin several years ago and I miss them so much. We entertained the idea of moving there two years ago to be nearer to them. I just wish we were all closer.

Well, there you have it. As i hear things I will be sharing them to keep you all updated. I know I have received many private messages over this and promise to let you know as prayers are answered:) Thank you all for your diligent prayers as I know you will continue them:)

If anyone could help me to understand how to start a card shower for her I would greatly appreciate it. I want to give her and my brother all the encouragement I can.

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

Thanks for the undate! If you could post their address or just PMessage info to those who ask would be great! I would love to send them a card.
Father you are so lovingly awaiting for this couple to come to you. May you get the glory through this. As they see you~ much will come unfolding into their lives for closure. All blocks are released so the blessings flow. Send someone to minister to them on your behalf so they will then decide to decide for futher development. In Jesus' Holy Name!! Giving Him praise. *U* rilda
