Blessings!

   Well, as some of you might know (most don't) we put our Miss Mary-Ann on a plane Sunday morning:( Oh she'll be back next Tuesday but it might as well be a lifetime:P

   It was her second time flying but her first time flying alone. She is my very shy young lady and I must say I did worry something awful over her while she was traveling. Not because I didn't think she could manage it, but because this mama's heart just worries:P

Here she is looking quite confident and ready.Mind you, this was in the parkinglot...BEFORE she went into the terminal:P

We got her boarding pass all taken care of and sat down for the half hour before she had to board the plane.Papa, as usual, cool as a cucumber (he has flown a LOT). She was sort of doing alright but a little nervous.

She was beginning to fret a little and didn't want to miss her boarding call and I was trying not to cry:(

After having to take off her shoes and turn the cellphone on and off again, she was finally inside (without me). We were delighted (as was she) that she was to be in the gate right on the other side of the glass from us so we could continue to wait with her.She kept looking at the time on the cellphone to be sure she didn't miss the boarding call:)

Our airport is really small. In fact there's only 4 gates! A1&2 and B1&2:P She was at B1. She took a puddle jumper from our port up to SeaTac which is HUGE! She phoned us when she got off and said she had gotten herself a terminal map and was following that. I encouraged her to just go to a counter and ask them where her gate was. She is so shy and won't speak to anyone and I worried she would get lost. What was I worrying about? She has known how to read a map since she was 6! (Thank you Lord for leading us to homeskill):)

   Anyway, the terminal is so big they have an underground train that takes you from one gate to another! It's like a monorail or a bart. No driver, just electronic and it apparently announces each gate and lets folks on and off. Well, Miss Mary-Ann figured out the train thing just fine. Her departure gate as clear across the terminal from where she arrived. She was quite impressed with the size of the place for sure:)

   She arrived safely and has been having fun with her nephews. She will be staying with my parents, taking care of the nephews (our grandsons that I wrote about last summer) while her sister recovers from hysterectomy surgery. She was suffering from severe endometryosis (sp?) and she agreed to the surgery. It's for the best. She said she was finished having children anyway and didn't want to deal with the issues this has.

   Our Mary-Ann will be coming home to us next Tuesday and I must say I am counting the days. Last night I wrote about how I don't live for the garbage man anymore, today I'm finding this waiting a snails pace:P My days don't fly by anymore and I don't want them to but I do want my girl back home safely:)

   She will be turning 18 on March 1st. In fact, her sister (the one having the surgery) shares the same birthday! They were 11 years, 11 hours, 11 minutes and 11 seconds apart! According to the time stamps on their certificates:P

   We sent her with an SD card so she can take lots of pictures while she is there. Her grandfather has the same camera I have:) She also took her watercolors so I'm expecting some wonderful works of art when she gets back:)

   Well, I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day! I need to go find something to do to take my mind off things:P

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

I would be lost(it seems that you are now) without my girls.I hope your daughter, who is having the surgery, has a quick recovery.I think this will be a great experience for Mary-Ann, not so sure for you though:(
Your daughter was wise to have this surgery. Her condition is a painful one. Studies have shown that women with endometrosis have developed cancer due to it.Also it can grow around other organs causing much damage.Will she be keeping her ovaries?

Yes it is a good experience for her and you're right...I'm not having such a great experience:( But they have to become sure of themselves eventually and it might as well be now:)
Our eldest girl having the surgery was almost talked into keeping the cervix but we talked her out of that. The doctor was adamant about it but once we explained that my mother and HER mother both had cervical cancer, the doctor conceded and decided to do a complete instead. And yes she will keep both ovaries as they both look to be healthy.
God be with thee!

Oh, I knew that trip was coming up and meant to wish we well. Looks like I missed the boat! (See what being a slacker in blog world does? lol) I will keep Miss Mary-Ann in my prayers. I'm sure she will have a lovely time and pictures to prove it! :-)

You have some serious attachment issues. I think you may need to seek medical treatment! I am fine and I will be back in a week.

Love,

~Mary-Ann~

~~~Don't be sassy:P I can't change my mama's heart so you'll just have to live with it:)
Love you and miss you awfully:(
