IT'S OFFICIAL!:P

Blessings!

It's official...WE ARE DONE MOVING!:P For those of you who have moved more than once, in your adult life, you can understand my complete joy in this being finally and officially done!:)

Our move was a bit different than most (notice I didn't say ALL because I know someone who's been doing it longer:P) Our move has taken us 5 weeks to complete. Ugh! I must say that this has been, by far, the most challenging, aggravating and sometimes downright discouraging move we've ever done.

I am so very greatful that the good Lord gave us such lovely landlords (very dear friends of ours) that our extended time wasn't a hinderance to them and they were so very understanding of everything.

Our move had to be quite sudden as our landlords needed to sell the house right away (we heard December 5th). We needed a place to take over 50 farm animals to:P On the 31st of January we signed a rental agreement for a new place and began to move right away.

Then things started to happen. Brother Craig was only available on Friday and Saturday due to his work schedule. I wanted him to not worry about doing any of it so I told him the children and I could do it and he could just relax...famous last words right? Ugh!

The first week went rather well, then I got very ill, then Miss Mary-Ann did. The animals had to be moved over but we couldn't catch everyone. Then we DID get them together and moved the chickens, ducks and horse in one move and all the goats in another.

The ducks and chickens were fine for a few days then they figured a way out:P The Nubian girls (specifically Sparky) found a way out of the barn. We fixed that and finally had to do an emergency fence so they couldn't get past the barn and our buck wouldn't be able to get to our little ones.

That done, we had to sort of pen in the horse till we had time to make him a real pen. (That's still in the works:P) We housed the buck in the barn for a time until we could do a little switching around and put the does with the buck and move the horse temporarily.

The ducks all disappeared along with the horse a few hours later. The next day the ducks came back and the day after that the horse was found. Brother Craig pulled a muscle in his back, I got ill again then broke my arm, the buck died in the middle of the night, and Miss Sarah developed a cough and our son got married:P

And did I mention getting snowed in...twice!?! Once for three days and once for just a day:P

This last three days I've had a migraine and haven't been able to be online much at all, finally got that down to a dull roar, got sick to my stomach yesterday and ended up in bed all day. Today, tired out and a little weak feeling, I stayed home because Brother Craig made me.

Last night Brother Craig and Miss Sarah went to the old place and burned the last of the leftovers and brought home what I thought was the last load. Our son was to drive over today with a load too but he ended up with a terrible case of poison oak which he is deathly allergic to so he was out of sorts and after taking his medication was completely worn out so he was sent back to bed today:P

Brother Craig went this morning to get the load that our son was to bring and brought that home but said that I needed to run back over to pick up some things that wouldn't fit...??? He and I drove back in my car and sure enough there were some things that had been overlooked:P We got it loaded up, finished a last trash run, stopped off at A&W for a burger and RootPop and home. Done. Finished. Nothing left behind, nothing to do, nothing to wake up to tomorrow, no more being in the car, no more running back and forth..fini!!!

I can't tell you how excited, relieved, at peace I finally am over this:) Of course, we weren't able to do much of anything here for these past 5 weeks since we've not been home for most of it:s It's definite though...we are absolutely certain that we cannot fit 2500 square feet of "stuff" into 1250 square feet:P It's like stuffing 10 lbs into a 5 lb bag:P

I have CaraDD and her youngin's coming over tomorrow for a visit and I'm thrilled that even though this place looks like a warehouse (in serious need of organizing:P) I will enjoy their visit and they will too:) It will be such a blessing to just sit and visit, sip coffee, make garden plans, talk about things we want to do (or not do) and just plain old share our company:)

Now I can concentrate on just getting things put away here and weeding out the things we can live without here:) I can relax throughout the day and put thing away at leisure:) The girls will be helping me and we can simply begin to enjoy our new home:)

Well, that was my thoughts to share for the day. I'm "officially" done:P

God be with thee!

On Tues. it still be will there, unless I Dream Of Jennie comes out of her bottle and zips it all in place for you...lol.....Blessings, Debbie

~~Frankly I have felt homeless since we sold our home back in 2004. I can't wait until we find that "final resting place":P

That is a good feeling. Just the burden of being undone can be so tiring. Now onto better things, right?

Warmly, ~Melissa

~~Yes it can feel so tiring when you have that one last undone thing lurking over you:( Today was wonderful and productive:)_

Thank goodness your finally settled in. Moving is a task that I hope never to have to do again. It was fun the first couple of time, when I was much younger, LOL.............Kitty

~~I can surely relate to "when I was younger":P Surely, I don't seem to remember taking this long nor being this overwhelmed during a move:P I can't wait till we never have to do it again:)
God be with thee!
