God cares about my plumbing!:P

Blessings! It has come to my attention that God really does care about the little things.:) With all that we had to deal with today, it really turned out a pleasant day:) The girls and I prayed throughout the morning, here and there, as we decided that we weren't going to go to the old house today. Too icy, too cold, nothing was going right so we were going to take the hint and stay put:P Water wouldn't really be a true issue as we do have the river if push comes to shove and it's come to shove a few times in our lives:P Anyway, once it started to do a little warming we figured the water would start flowing any time. It didn't and I sent Miss Sarah out to see if the well pump was running. She came back with the news that the pump seemed about as dead as it could get. I sent her for a wrench so I could open the pump and prime it and try to restart it. We got to the pumphouse and tried for several minutes before realizing I would have to have arms like Gorgeous George to move that bolt...it was frozen solid!:P So I went in to phone the rental agency because I was pretty sure the pump needed priming and I was unable to do it myself. The call was in and we went about our business. With being home for the whole day we made good use of our time and got some more things unpacked:) The kitchen is about half done, although I still haven't located all the boxes of food from the old place. I fear they might be in the little shed out back:P But we'll find them in the next few days:) Suddenly, just about 20 minutes before Brother Craig walked in from work, the water started pouring in! The greatest news was NO BROKEN PIPES!:) I phoned the agency to cancel the request and turned my attention to my sweet husband. He hugged me and I put my arms around his neck and he asked if they had fixed the pipes and I said, "Nope...God did! Isn't it amazing He cares about my little ol' pipes?":P Who would have thought? God really IS in everything:) This was what Miss Sarah and Miss Mary-Ann found when they went to water the animals... The ice made some stunning designs and our Miss Mary-Ann who does most of our pictures captured it beautifully... The chickens and ducks don't seem to mind though:P All in a day's discoveries:P Tomorrow we'll tackle the old place, once again in prayerful hope that it will be finished once and for all! We'll be leaving very early in the morning to make sure we get a whole days work in. Not much left and not much to do. Mostly it's trash runs that need doing. It's amazing to me how much real trash one family can accumulate without ever knowing it's there! And I mean trash. You know, papers, wrappers, dust, dirt, socks that fell below the sofa or behind the loveseat, broken glass from who knows how long ago! (I don't move my furniture often enough I guess:P) And I won't even go into what I found in some of the childrens rooms:P All in all, we will be done and be able to stay here once and for all and make this house a home. I am so looking forward to getting rid of so much more than I realized. It's funny, because in the bigger house we hardly noticed and really thought we had downsized quite a bit. Getting into something half the size has opened our eyes. We still have too much! It is my goal to be down to just what fits and nothing more. I want to make sure we can move this entire home in only one truck on one trip with the exception of animals. But you get the idea:P It's late and I should be to my bed. God be with thee!
