Blessings!

   Well, I think I just need a good cry:( The toilet has stopped working, no water in the house, too icey to get out..ugh:(

   It's noon now and it's still only 20 out and it doesn't show any signs of thawing at all. A trip to the old place it out of the question now and I have to wait until Brother Craig gets home before we can figure out what to do about the pipes. He will be home around 2:45 so at least we'll have a little daylight left for this.

   I am so frustrated today I want to just crawl into bed, pull the covers back over my head and try waking up again:P

   I am so anxious to be done with the old place. I don't want to have to go back and forth anymore. Today and tomorrow are the only "sunny" days left before a very cold storm front hits us. Since we can't go anywhere today we only have tomorrow.

   A though crossed my mind yesterday and I'm thinking that I should have done it. I though maybe I should set up a camp cot and sleepingbag at the old place and just stay the night so we could continue first thing. However, there wasn't anyone who could drive the trailer home so I guess it wouldn't have been very productive:( I could have driven back yesterday before it got dark.

   I suppose it all worked out he way it was supposed to. We are home, safe, protected, warm (except for frozen pipes):( I just get frustrated when I am not making any headway on things. It's more overwhelming than anything I can think of. It's like having a Mt. Washmore waiting in the laundry room with a broken washer! I can wash and wash on the washboard in the bathtub but I can't get to the bottom of the pile because things keep getting piled back on top.

   I know it will all work out for the good. The Lord never closes a door that He doesn't open a window:) I think we'll make a nice hot soup with some fresh rolls. I can run back to the river for a bit of water and bring that in to boil. ...I guess that's my window:)

   Have a blessed day and if you think of us, please say a little prayer:)

God be with thee!

Sister Lori,

Hello there! I just sent a quick prayer for you. I hope things turn around quick!

Jennifer

~~~Well, I don't know how quick it was but it's fixed! Thank you so much for the prayers. Isn't it amazing how little blessings can thrill me so much?:P
God be with thee!
Oh my.... dear friend... all I can offer is a prayer and lots of {{{HUGS}}}.
Wish I was there with you. At least we could laugh about it!
God bless...
~~~I must admit, laughing wasn't my first thought but we've been giggling all evening:P Especially the look on my face (apparently) when I came out of the bathroom and asked..."Okay, who turned the water off to the toilet?" :P
God be with thee!

Oh I am so sorry!! No toilet and frozen pipes is not fun!!! I can imagine how you feel..... oh how many times I have been there! May the Lord bless you and sustain you... hopefully tomorrow will be fresh .... moving is so hard and so very exhausting! I wish I was there to bring you over a hot pot of soup and some homemade bread!

((((( Hugs)))))))

~~~Well, we did get our water back but that soup and bread sound wonderful:) We didn't get to the old house today but we hope to be able to get there tomorrow depending on the weather. We did manage to get some things put away here so it wasn't a complete loss:)
God be with thee!
I feel so bad for you right now. Being from Louisiana I have lived through many huricanes. Most of them we loose power for weeks and every now and then we actually loose our water supply too. This might seem gros to many but what we do for a potty is to take a five gallon bucket and line it with a plastic garbage bag. It does the trick and is easy to clean up, lol. Hope things get better soon............Kitty
~~~It's not the first time and I imagine it won't be the last:P Several years ago we had a sewage explosion (long icky story) in our home and it took out half of our 1800 sf home:( That bucket with the trash liner came in quite handy out there in the toolshed:P
We did get our water back and we are so thrilled. Didn't get the old house finished but we got several things put away and have a few more empty boxes. A great feeling:)
God be with thee!
