What a wonderful Christmas!Blessings! Well, our Christmas was quiet, peaceful and virtually stress free:) What a blessing! Although we miss my parents dearly, it was nice to be home with noplace pressing to be:) We wouldn't have made it down anyway, and if we had gone down a little early we wouldn't have made it back in time for Brother Craig to get back to work. They had closed the pass and some folks we know had to spend Christmas apart because of it. Anyway, we were able to at least share our Christmas on the phone with them:) I'll post pictures later as I download them from the camera, of our Christmas supper:) We had a traditional Christmas Goose, sweetpotato mash, vegetable bake casserole, and figgy pudding:) Such a wonderful and tastey meal! Brother Craig made the Orange Glazed Goose for us and it was so moist and yummy, I can't wait to raise one of our own for next year:) And figgy pudding will be on the menu more than just the holidays this year:) The big present that the children gave to me (it's more of a family gift anyway:P) was a reproduction old fashioned style radio/cd/tape/record player:) I am in love with it. You remember records right?:P I still have mine from when I was a small child on up to my teenage years with albums like Peter, Paul and Mommy, Moody Blues, The Carpenters, yep...even the Partridge Family:P I have a collectors edition of the Beatles White Album in white vinyl. I won't be opening it and trying it out till the move is over, however so I'll have to let you know then how well it works:P All in all, we had a wonderful day. The Lord has blessed us abundantly with our family, friends, food, and peace! Praying that each of you had a wonderful day in the Lord! Have a very wonderfully spirit filled New Year! God be with thee! Sister Lori { Last Page } { Page 109 of 230 } { Next Page } |
