Be Ye Separate

Changes are acomin'!

   Well, changes are afoot:) As many of you know, we've been house hunting...again!:P Still a rental though. We aren't quite at the place to purchase just yet but the Good Lord is biding our time and helping us prepare for that eventually:)

   We put in an application on a place that will allow us the animals and it looks like we'll get it! I didn't want to say anything before just in case we didn't get it then I wouldn't have to share the disappointment:( Well, I STILL might have to share disappointment but we don't think so:)

   The house is much smaller than here but that's alright, we don't really need all this room anyway. Our son and fiance have moved the wedding date up so he won't be moving with us. As he said, "We can wait, but why?" This way he won't have to commute to work and the won't have to maintain two residences in the few months in between. It is bittersweet, however. We adore her and pray for a lasting and God filled marriage for them. But he is our last boy at home:( He will be sorely missed. He assures me he'll be coming home every Sunday for suppers like we used to do with my parents and my grandparents before them.:)

   This new house is everything we really need for now. It has a nice sized barn with stalls, so there's places for all the goats and the horse. A huge pen that was originally made for horses (although it looks like it might have been a garden at one time and was deer fenced). It's the perfect size to keep the chickens and ducks in and still eave us tons of room for a garden!

   There are wonderful outbuildings with a tiny cottage like shed that we plan on making into our sewing cottage. The house is at the end of a dead end road, 7 acres and on a river. I think it's more of a crick in summer but they say it's a river:P

   If we are approved for it, we'll start moving on the 1st. That will give us 2 weeks to move from this place and get it all cleaned up. Why are we moving? Easy...the owners are selling this place!:) They offered us first option to buy but we simply can't afford what they want so we are moving on. The Lord has a place for us and we patiently wait for His timing:)

   Of course, I'm praying that this next place is where He wants us for now:P But all in His time. If it's meant to be then He'll make it all happen:) God has been so good to us and has done so much for us, why worry now?:P

I'm glad to hear that things are working out! I knew they would, of course, but I felt sorry that you had to deal with this during the winter (and Christmas). But the Lord knows best, doesn't He? I know it's hard work, but moving is also very exciting! It'll be a new year and a new beginning for you all. I'll keep praying. :o)

What a site to be sure....we sometimes have turkeys come up onto our back deck...What a site unexpected to be sure!
