The Hunt Is On!

   Well, the hunt is on! We are on the hunt for a place to move to:P Our landlords informed us last week they want to sell immediately. I sure wish we could afford to buy it as they've offered us first chance but it's simply far too expensive for us. I love the house, the land, the area but we just can't manage it.

   We have been searching for housing for the last week and yesterday we spent the day going through all kinds of places. Our needs are a little different than most folks these days:P We need a place to take 57 animals to!:D

   Well, yesterday we came across a perfect place. It has everything we need. Since our son is getting married in April we don't need the extra room so the girls will double up until he is married then we'll spread them out:)

   This place has a nice big barn with 3 outside stalls, 1 inside stall, a loafing shed and a nice huge tackroom. The tackroom will hold all our hay so we won't have to worry about using that portable carport anymore:) Well, at least not for the hay:) The outside stalls are not fenced but we have our own fencing and portable pens so that's an easy fix for us:) There is also a huge pen that they built for horses at one time but it will be perfect for keeping the chickens and ducks in with room to spare:)

   Then there's the garage. It's not much to look at (it's listing badly to one side) but it's stable and it will work well for Brother Craigs tools:) Our cars are too big to fit in it anyway:P

   It's 7 acres with an old charming farmhouse on it. It has several little old sheds to store our gardening things and such. It's also on the river! I miss our river. This isn't the Main Umpqua but it will do:) It runs the entire width of the property. It has a stand of trees to separate the house from the river. It's at the end of a dead end road, wonderfully quiet and peaceful, clean and just 10 minutes from Brother Craigs work!:) Better yet, it's just behind where his camper is parked:)

   We put in our application for it so we'll see in the next few days if we've been approved. More importantly we are praying that this be the Lords will for us. If it isn't then we'll move on and keep looking:) I just know He has a special place for us and this would work for what we need, but if it's not then it must be perfect for someone else:)

   Time to get on with the day. I do need to get some things gone through as I won't be taking everything with us. You know how that is...getting complacent about the "stuff" that has been in the garage or storage shed for too long and you really just don't need it but never got rid of it? Well, that's it here too:) I wonder if a winter yard sale is in order:P

I wish you lots of luck,, Wish I lived closer I could help you move. I know moving takes alot.. This house your looking at sounds good and sounds like you will enough room for the animals..Blessing haflinger sisterbrenda

I have added your hopes for this house to my prayers.
The house sounds just right. A winter yard sale sounds good. Just add a coffee pot and some muffins to sale, we always do and it is a hit.

How exciting for you. Around here no one rents to anyone with a dog or cat let along 57 animals. I will say a prayer for it to end up as you need it too. Good luck.........Kitty

You could have an inside "moving sale".
I would think you would have a big turn out for it.

How long have you lived in the house that you are leaving?We live in an OLD farmhouse now. I love it, it is so different from the homes that are built today. It is built from real wood that was taken from this property.
I hope you will get what you want and need.
