When storms collide:P

Blessings!

Have you ever heard the term "when storms collide"? When I was growing up we would have huge storms that would roll in and past us in a short moments, other times it would seem to stall overhead giving us quite the display in many ways. That was when I would be told that two storms collided...

It has come to my attention, having two teenage daughters that are usually quite sweet and helpful, that I have two storms living under my roof!:P

Most folks will go on about how well behaved, respectful, sweet and responsible our children are. We smile and nod in agreement but I always add, "they have their moments":P

I don't know what it is about the weather changes that seems to cause these storms to brew. It's subtle at first, little annoyances, moments of exasperation. It builds into occasional irrational babble and a slammed door. Then suddenly and seemingly without warning, it's a full blown hurricane!

These are the two darlings while trying to look serious...Not very succesfully, I might add:P

I could blame it on "cabin fever" except we haven't been in the cabin all that much yet. By spring we are all ready to get out and spread ourselves a bit but this is awful early in the season for these storms to be happening:P

This morning the wild and irrational argument was over a bruise caused by someone kicking the other in the ankle. No one fesses up as to who started it but the shrieks from both indicate that it was probably a mutual moment of tyranny.

Soooooooooooooo, Miss Sarah (on the right) is busy in the goat pens and Miss Mary-Ann (on the left) is busy in the henhouse. And me? I'm hiding...until the storm passes:P

God be with thee!

I am laughing at this post because I have the same trouble, sometimes, with my two teen daughters.
You are a very smart mama, putting them to work.

One of their never ending disagreements is who gets to sit in the front seat of the van when we go to town.I put them both in the back seat a lot of times since they can't agree on who sits where.

Girl drama!

{ 15:44, Tuesday, November 27, 2007 } { Posted by blessingsbaound }
This is what we call "girl drama" in our house. I have seven boys and only three girls... we all agree that God knew what He was doing when He gave me seven boys and not seven girls... I wouldn't be able to handle all the drama! I can handle the cat's tail that's missing, the frog in the wash, the boy that is riding his bike full speed down the hill and through the living room window.. but girl drama?!?! It can just make Momma a tad bit weary! LOL... Have a wonderfully blessed day!! And yes... my girls are angels... angels in training is what we call them!

Well my dear friend, this is one thing I can't relate to you with, LOL. In our house (of all boys) there is usually some sort of wrestling move and then it's all over. Tee hee...

I DO remember how it was to have a sister though--and she is seven years younger than I--so we had our "moments." We're best friends now though. :o)

My girls are 3 years apart. 17 and 14. They can act like they are 3 and 4. The working idea is great. I omce had to put my 2 girls out in the dog pen on poop patrol together. They fussed and fought, but came out smiling!

Blessings!

LOL! We have one son but I love the picture and your story. My sister and I did argue over her wearing my clothes and her being so messy in our room. It was just a matter of me needing my privacy I suppose. I guess she wasn't giving me any respect.Hehe took me back to memory lane. Now we can't wear each others clothes and I am the messy one. *U* Rilda
