Blessings!

   Well here's the rundown of our weekend. Brother Craig was able to be home with us all week! What a blessing that was. We miss him so much and today was his first day back at work and we will see him Thursday afternoon, Lord willing. Back to the shift work and his being gone a week at a time. I just keep lifting my hands in fervent prayer that the Lord will help us through this season and show us where we are to be, and of course SOON:P All in HIS time:)

   Our Thanksgiving day was a very quiet one this year. We weren't able to make it to family this year so we celebrated at home with just the 6 of us.

   The girls made pies...

The Schnitz Pie

The wild Blackberry Pie

   Then we roasted the turkey...

This was just before we sent it in to the firey furnace:P What came out was so moist that it literally fell apart when we tried to remove it from the roaster!:P It was definitely yummy though:)

   And this is our table. We couldn't fit everything on it cuz it's not big enough:P Our BIG family table is in the garage in need of serious repair. (See previous post about how it fell apart in my lap one night during our meal:P)

By the way, that's me salivating in the background:P

   It was a wonderful meal and we have leftovers clear into the new year:P A lot of the meat is in bags in the freezer for future stews and such. Cant let it go to waste now can we?:D

   Praying everyone had a wonderful and peace filled Thanksgiving!

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

Oh wow am I hungry for REAL FOOD now! This hospital stuff is just plain icky. How do they expect folks to get well on packaged white fake stuff? I miss my kitchen....

Deanna

~~~I've been there before:s I continue to lift you and yours in our purposed prayers and praying you get to be home this weekend and eat "real" food:)
Wow, what an enormous turkey! And is that corn pudding on the table? A delicious meal of thanks, indeed. Glad you had a wonderful day. :-)
~~~It was definitely large...and heavy:P Nope not corn pudding...mmmmmm, I haven't made corn pudding in a long time I think we'll sneak that into the menu soon.
God be with thee!
