The pictures I promise:)

Blessings!

Okay, here's the pictures I promised:) I almost forgot to take them, truth be known:P Today was unexpectedly busy and we ended up having to take someone to the doctors so I wasn't able to accomplish all that I had in mind today. But isn't that just how it goes?:)

This is the table and chairs we got from auction for $85.00

It is a bit smaller than we are used to but as our Mary-Ann keeps reminding us, our family size is dwindling:( Our son will be getting married come April so that will leave just the two girls and Papa and me at home.

Not to worry though. We still have our usual backup tables that we pull out for company and family when the need arises:) In the meantime we have two more chairs that we can move to the table to accomodate all that are at home right now.:)

This is the lovely chair/ottoman that Brother Craig bought at auction just for me:P $75.00

The cat already belonged here:P And the chair is also a recliner!:) Now Brother Craig and I both have a recliner in the frontroom:) The table set and the wingback/ottoman are new. They were floor models at a department store but they couldn't sell them to the public because of a silly store policy. So the auctionhouse bought up all their floormodels and auctioned them off. They often purchase these types of things and our son will be furnishing his new home come April from the auction:)

There is also a mattress set that isn't shown yet because it's still in the garage waiting to be moved upstairs onto my bed:P

And this is the lamp he bought for me at the outdoor market for just $2.50

I adore the lamp. Our oil lamps get lots of use:) It saves on electricity and warms a room with it's welcome glow:)

While I'm at it, I might as well include a few more photos of the downstairs. At least the finished rooms:)

Our frontroom...Notice Brother Craig is home:P and the laundry needing folded just beyond him:)

And our Matthew...hamming it up while he prepares his wonderful clam chowder in breadbowls for us:) Yes that's a chefs coat. He was learning culinary arts and this was his uniform:)

He might never forgive me for this one:P

Okay, I'm done for now. Thank you for stopping by and for being patient with me:)

God be with thee!

I love all of your treasures, and what great deals you'll got on them. I too love oil lamps, but am really scared of them. My luck I would start a fire with one. LOL..........Have a great day......Kitty
