Blessings!

This past two weeks has been quite the journey:P

I haven't written in my blog for so long due to illness. It started out as just a little headcold and developed into more as the week went on.

I have allergies this time of year so I thought nothing of it when I developed a slight cough, sniffles and sneezes. In just a few days it became worse.

After a quick doctors appointment they determined that I had pneumonitis (onset of pneumonia). Cold medicines were keeping the cough down and fevers low. That and steaming showers and baths, hot coffee and teas:) I was also using the nebulizer and the breath gage to keep up on things.

Another doctors appointment because I wasn't improving, confirmed what we suspected...pneumonia:( Antibiotics, more treatments and controlling fevers. Ugh:s

I lost my voice several days ago and although I don't have it back completely yet, I can now whisper for short periods:) The girls have been such a wonderful help to me here. Brother Craig was home this week and we were able to spend time just cuddling and sharing our week:) Well, in between my sleeping that is:P

I was able to spend some time downstairs on Tuesday for Miss Sarah's birthday:) We had some dear friends come by to share it with us. I do enjoy their visits and miss them when we cannot see them for long periods.

The children have helped me by running the homestead this past week and a half. The girls read my email to me and scripture throughout this time while I convalesce. Today I was able to be downstairs with them. It was nice to get out of my sickbed and get some fresh air:) I have spent most of the day laying on the sofa or in Brother Craigs recliner and napping on and off and watching the girls do their sewing projects. And listening to them as they read to me or quietly whisper amongst themselves as they work side by side:)

Brother Craig returned to work today. The house is so oddly quiet the first day:( We all miss him so much but we know that it is for a season and soon we will all be together again, every day:)

God has been so good to stay beside me through all this. He has brought us through yet another valley:) He sustains me through my children and my sweet husband:) He has given me such wonderful opportunities to ponder and contemplate His will for me and what we are to do next. He is my deliverer:)

I pray that all are well and safe as you prepare for your winter (or summer:P). I will try to write again in the next day or two as my strength permits.

   God be with thee!

Sister Lori

I'm glad to catch up here a bit. I do miss seeing how your days are now that I'm not on the yahoo group. It's nice to be able to visit with you here, though.
Prayers are with you for the final leg of recovery. Those seasons of illness are moving upon us now as winter creeps in while autumn still hangs on. Such odd weather patterns lately!

Many prayers coming your way! I think of you and your family often and was wondering why you weren't here lately!
Glad you are on the mend and that you and Brother Craig were able to spend some cuddle time together.
The girls are such wonderful blessings, aren't they?
Talk to you soon!
Hugs~ Julie

Pneumonia is rough and my mum has had this in the past so I remember how ill she was.

I really hope that you are on the road to recovery now and that you are feeling much better. How wonderful to have a family around you that have helped you so much and for your hubbie to be able to be home with you during this week especially with your being so rough.

Take care of yourself
Blessings and hugs
