New happenings:)

Blessings!

   Yesterday was Brother Craigs first day at his new job. He is really enjoying it and has been given a tentative work schedule that he will start on Thursday. He will be working from 5pm to 3:30am Monday thru Thursday. God is so good! This gives him the Sabbath off!:) It's not the most ideal hours but we'll have him awake for some of the day before he heads off to work so we are blessed there too:)

   Today was his second day of training and orientation. He's getting more and more excited about it which surely does our hearts good:) He has one more day of training tomorrow and then he's on his shift. He really likes his new boss too! God has blessed us so mercifully by sending this job his way:)

   Today was also our second day without him to turn to when things needed fixing:P We did alright, but we sure did miss him. We can't even phone him during the day so he phones us on his breaks to check in and find out how we are doing without him:)

   Today we managed to get a few of the items done on our list of "todo's" and even had supper ready when he walked in the door! We had a wonderful evening of just being a family and now it's time to hit the hay:)

   Just wanting to keep you updated and I will still put up more photos of the grandsons in the next day or two:) Blessings your way!

Im so glad things are working out for your family. My son is working the night shift right now, but is OK with it. He is a welder and working at night is much cooler in this Louisiana heat. For a few months of the year my dh also works odd hours, but we do what we have to do, don't we........

The mill does tend to get a bit warm during the daytime hours but winter is so cold even in the day so I can't imagine what it's going to be like then:s
Indeed we DO do what we have to do:) We are driven to our knees for what the Lord has provided for us.

Those ARE strange hours, aren't they?

Indeed those are strange hours but they may not last for long. I depends on when other openings on different shifts come up. Their matrix is a lot different than most other companies but they do take care of their employees with many benefits and incentives.
