We had such fun

Blessings!

God is so good! He gave us a few extra days with the grandsons so we took them camping for a couple days (Friday and Saturday). We got home Sunday afternoon and today I'm down with headache and fevers...but it was worth it:) We had such fun!

Morgan was prepared to have a terrible and boring time. He came upstairs this morning to see how I was feeling and to tell me he had an "awesome fun time" camping and seeing new things.

Theron decided to try wearing Pappy's boots. He quickly gave them up as it made it much harder to walk around the camper with them on:P

Theron and Pappy take a break while waiting for the lighthouse tour. He sure loves his Pappy:)

It's a lot of steps to climb and I can't make it so Sarah took Morgan on the tour. She loves the lighthouse anyway and Morgan came down rattling a mile a minute about how cool it was and all that he had learned about the lighthouses up and down our coast. He began to test Pappy and I on our lighthouse knowledge...sadly I think we need to brush up:P

This time it was Blue Nana's turn to take a break with Theron:) We went over to the whale watching observation deck while Sarah and Morgan toured the lighthouse. Pappy walked back to get the car from down below so we wouldn't have to walk all the way back when the tour was done.

Despite the weather predictions it was a beautiful sunny day...it wasn't until late Saturday night that it began to really pour! Morgan was in his tent with Mary-Ann and the rest of us were in the camper. Morgan didn't want to sleep inside (even though it sleeps 10) because he wanted to do "real camping":)

Later, Saturday afternoon, we got back to camp and Morgan helped Sarah to pick wild blackberries and this is what we had for dessert!

Blackberry Cobbler! It was very yummy and enjoyed by all. In fact, Theron kept coming in for another fingerbowl full of blackberries to munch. I would fill him one and he would go back to sit at the picnic table and eat them down.

It was a fun couple of days and now that we are home, I'm resting up, hoping to be over the fevers by tonight or tomorrow morning. We have a few things we'd like to do before driving them back down to California on Thursday.

Just wanted to share our adventures with ya'll. Have a very blessed week!

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

I love the pictures! It looks like your little men had such fun. I'm so grateful that you've had this time with them and I pray that it will only be the beginning. :o)
I'm so sorry that you're under the weather! We have been too, for about a week now. I've never had such chills and aches! I'll remember to pray for your speedy recovery. As mothers, we have too much to do to be sick! Oh, and THANK YOU so much for your upholstery advice! I was thrilled that you took the time to share your wisdom. I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out. Take good care, rest and feel better. :o)
