Fair Week!

Blessings!

   Well, this is what our Sarah was doing this week. She was busy finishing up the costume she was making for her Fair entry. She decided not to do it under 4H this year and instead did open class. She also entered a photograph that she took on our trip back east last spring (2006) while in Ghettysburg.

   I think I've posted most of Mary-Ann's photographs that she is entering in the Fair this year. She worked hard and finished cutting all her matte frames this morning. She also entered several of her drawings.

   We dropped them off this evening and the girls are excited to see what the get on them. Of course, they are also simply glad to participate:)

   On Thursday we will "dress a veggie or fruit" so we can attend the fair for free:) Last year we had to "dress" a zucchini:P Well, we didn't because we had to camp there for Sarah's pig so we were already IN but our son (who had to work) and his girl did:)

   This year we aren't doing any animals and are taking a break from the 4H. For those of you who do fair for 4H know how much work it is and it's not a relaxing thing in the least. A lot of work and very little sleep. Last year Sarah had to be in the pig pavillion by 4:30am every morning and didn't get a chance to get a breakfast break until nearly 10. Noon meal was usually on the fly and supper was late.

   Sarah will, however, be helping the folks that she purchased her Nigerian Dwarfs from. They show in open class and asked if she would be available. Since she wasn't doing a market animal this year we agreed to let her go. It will be only Tuesday ALL day. We will be doing our family day on Thursday:)

   Morgan is looking forward to "dressing" a fruit/veggie:) We haven't decided, just yet, what to dress but we'll think of something:) He said he wanted to dress a strawberry but not sure it will survive...we'll see:) Lots of choices:P

   Well, it's late and I must be to my bed. We have fellowship and a fellowship meal following (Sarah made some blackberry icecream for it). Then we will sing at the Manor House (a home for the elderly). Monday we will be helping a 4H family get their animals to the fairgrounds. They have pigs and goats and it would take them 2 trips (long distance) to get them all there. Can't put goats and pigs in the same transport together:P

Sounds like a busy week ahead. Hope you take pictures, lots of pictures. Looking forward to what fruit or veggie you make...lol...Debbie
