A glorious day in the Lord!

This is Brandy (Twister is behind her). She has the sweetest grins and gives the sweetest milk.

Blessings Brothers and Sisters!

Today began just beautifully and seems to be getting even better:)

I arose with the sounds of our little three month old rooster attempting to announce his roosterhood to the world around him. Oddly he sounds like a choking goat but we don't tell HIM that:) In any case, he did his job for the first time this morning and that was to wake us up:)

I was able to spend a bit of time in the Word before beginning my morning routines. I got the kitchen kettles out, started the coffee perking, and rousted the children up for their morning tasks.

By the time the animals were fed, goats milked, chickens and ducks turned out and the dog and cat taken care of, breakfast was on the table and with fresh milk and bountiful provisions we shared our first meal of the day:)

Brother Craig is hoping to begin building the long anticipated bookshelves today:) I'm so excited! We purchased the wood back in January but it was raining so much and too moist to really be able to start them. Now that the weather has gotten warmer and MUCH drier we can finally get those done.

We moved here in November/December and I still have all our books in boxes, stacked neatly (and sometimes NOT so neatly) in the corner of the livingroom. It will be wonderful to have better access to them again:)

Our morning has been a nice slow one. We did some extra tasks yesterday so today we can just enjoy each other and our home:) We are expecting our dear friends to come spend the day with us (and probably leave a few of the littles here to join the campout):)

I will also be getting out to the garden and doing some more preparing out there today. I have some plants that are begging for more space these days:) The longhouses are overflowing and it's time to get them out of there.

Around here, folks don't start planting until the day after Memorial Day so I think I'm breeching a time honored tradition around here by doing it today:s Perhaps no one will notice:)

Well, it's so lovely that I'm going to go down and enjoy the wonderful rest of my morning with the goats:) They are calling and I haven't had my coffee with them yet today. (It's sort of a tradition here):)

God's blessings pour over each of you as you go about your daily tasks. Rich travel blessings for those that are going away for this weekend. Most importantly...God bless each one of you real good!

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

I do love the way you tell about your day. And the goaty is the cutest thing. I recently aquired a small one that has not yet gotten use to me. It is coming along tho, at least she doesn't run for the hills when I come around anymore, LOL.

~~They do come around eventually:) Especially if you have a treat when you visit:) Like little apple chunks, sweet feed, cookies, potato chips:) She'll warm up soon:)

Hi Sister Lori!
Cute goat! My daughter, Ashley, just adores goats. Whatever you did to get this picture to show up worked. This is the only picture on your blog that has shown up for me yet.
Blessings,
Miki

~~I have no idea what made it work but I'm glad it finally did:) I usually link to my photo's in the group file but maybe I need to find someplace to put them that will work better? I am still learning this computer stuff:P
God be with thee!
