Be Ye Separate

Into the dark a little light must shine:)

Blessings!

First I want to thank everyone for your continued prayers for our goats and such. They are truly felt. We are taking precautions but waiting patiently until Tuesday.

I wanted to share a little sunshine that came to my day today:) You know how silly little things can happen that send one person into a fit of laughter and the other not so quick to smile? Well, I'm afraid my sweet husband was the brunt of such an attack today:P

I was sitting, pouting over the goat this afternoon. The tasking was finished and we had some time to just enjoy our day. The sun was shining, the girls were out with the chickens and ducklings, I was sitting on the back deck surveying our little farm and enjoying the cool breeze. I was looking over The Small Farmer's Journal and I felt a little sting in my chest. I looked down expecting to see something crawling and munching on me but instead found that my straight pin had worked it's way out of my apron bib and was poking me. I reached down to adjust it and refasten it in when I stabbed myself rather hard in the finger. Now we all know that stabbing ones finger with a pin emits the only possible response and that is to jump and pull back the offending appendage!.

Well, I was pulling my hand back, while at the same time my sweet husband was leaning over to give me a kiss on the forhead and he got it square in the face. I hit him so hard his glasses went flying! He staggered back with such a look I almost fell out of my chair laughing so hard I couldn't breathe!

I'm afraid that his initial response wasn't quite as, shall we say, "entertained" as mine was but after he realized what had happened to cause this he was laughing nearly as hard:P

Now from the girls perspective down in the chicken and duck pens they thought I had cleaned papa's clock! :D They came running to his defense only to find us both laughing and my finger bleeding something fierce:)

Well, we are both, none the worse for wear tonight. We enjoyed a lovely supper outside. The children have added to their "camp" and tomorrow they will redig the firepit so papa can show them how and what they can burn. It looks like they are planning a weekend down at "camp" so, aside from having help with the tasks, we'll have the house to ourselves. They've decided they are going to do all their meals down there too:) (I wonder how many times they'll wander up to the house looking for a treat?) I suppose I should bake some extras just in case:)

   Have a very blessed evening!

God be with thee!

Sister Lori

I can only imagine what that looked like from afar! I hope the children enjoy their camp time. I have some really good "camp" recipes that I'll share with them in mind. Have a wonderful weekend and hope your poor husband doesn't have a black eye! ;o)

Amy

~~He doesn't have a black eye this morning (thank the Lord) but his nose is a little tender:s Poor man:P
I would love the receipts for camp cookin:) The children really enjoy doing this sort of thing and always willing to try new things:)
God be with thee!
