Be Ye Separate

Another Day the Lord has made:)

Blessings!

   This is my second time entering something here. I am trying to make sure I give this place a little attention several times a week, although it will almost always be late at night after everyone has gone to their beds.

   I am not sure how or what to say so I am going to just share our days activities, my thoughts and journey.

   Today, I woke before the sun, as usual. I was able to have my much needed private time with my Lord and Saviour, sipping coffee, reading scripture and praying.

   The children were rousted for their choring. While I heated up the oven and got things ready in the kitchen the girls milked the goats, let the chickens loose, fed the goats, horse, and made sure the ducklings and chicks had fresh water and enough food.

   By the time they are finished, breakfast is on the table where we were able to give thanks to our Lord for providing enough for us to eat that we might not know hunger today. We talked about our plans for the day and who would be helping to do certain tasks.

  After breakfast is done and kitchen cleaned up, bathrooms cleaned, frontroom straigtened and inside animals fed.

   We were able to get the garden paced off and preparation for the tilling completed. The tiller came home today as we had lent it to some friends since they were ready first. Hopefully, tomorrow we'll be able to start our tilling as I have a lot of very anxious seedlings who are outgrowing their pots in the longhouses.

   The girls completed some math assignments and a writing assignment then went straight into their weekly pen cleaning chores. And feeding the kid (the goat kind).

   Our friends came by later in the afternoon bringing a suprise pot of chili! What a blessing they are. We pulled out the sourdough and had a wonderful supper and fellowship together.

   It is days like today that make me realize how blessed we are. The Lord has provided so much more than we ever imagined. We are daily amazed  how He provides things that we didn't even know we needed! I reflect on those blessings that surround us and feel so very unworthy of His Grace and Tender Mercies. What an awesome God we serve!

   I pray that each of you discovers the blessings He has provided for you even when you didn't know you needed them.

Long houses?

What are longhouses? Just curious. I'm trying to find a better way to start plants other than on top of cupboards and in windows, LOL. I've looked at some cold frames, but not sure that will work either.
