Who turned down the heat?

We had a couple of beautiful, bright and sunny days.  Today has been overcast and gloomy and that cold wind is just kicking up a howl outside.

I have been so busy I haven't really had time to blog at all.  The new contract I picked up is coming along well.  I have one contact that is ending this week and that will make life a little easier for me when I train for yet another contract.  I've also decided to cut back my contract companies to two.  So I will only have contract lines through 2 companies instead of 3 or 4. 

This week has been about planning the summer. So far with all the children we will be dealing with:  Jonah Ministries, a mission trip to Mexico, Creation Fest Northwest, a baseball camp and 4H County Fair.  This is in addition to a few jobs that they are trying to pick up. 

Our goat, Isabelle, is due this week.  She looks like she could go any time and her ligaments are all but gone...so yay!  My calendar says May 16th as her due date so usually they are right on time.  Our muscovy ducks should be hatching eggs any day now, we are still waiting.  The babies that were hatched on April 1st are now pretty much independent and mom and our drakes keep an eye on them from time to time.  The pigs and turkeys are getting big and the chickens are laying eggs like crazy.  All the animals are now in outside pens and out of the brooders in the garage and carport.

Today we are on cleaning detail in the barns and the house.  The sun has just started to peek through the clouds so hopefully we'll have some sunshine soon!
