PEELING BOILED FRESH EGGS
It's taken a year but I've finally found the best way to boil and peel fresh eggs!
I've had such a time since we got our own chickens and started having sure 'nuf FRESH eggs. When I would boil them and try to peel them the egg would just stick to the shell and it would just wreck the eggs. A lot would end up going to waste and they didn't look very pretty if I wanted to serve deviled eggs or slice them with salt and pepper.
Here's the new method I use and have had great success.
Cover eggs with cool water in saucepan and bring to a boil. Once it reaches a full boil turn off the heat and let them set right there on the stove for 15 minutes. Then pour off hot water and run cool tap water over eggs, emptying saucepan and refilling a few times. Next let the eggs set in the pan of cold water that you've added some ice to for 15 minutes. Crack and peel eggs under cool running water.

This is great! Thank you for sharing. I will pass the info on to my sister. We went to her house for Easter and we ended up having Deviled Egg Salad because the egg would not peel. She also uses fresh egg and has had a hard time peeling them also.

Yep, this is the way I have always done it. Now if I try to hurry it any, you can tell, because the egg surely does stick to the shell.
God's Blessings,

I had the same trouble years ago when I first started raising chickens. Another way to do it is to get your water boiling then set your eggs in the boiling water gently with a spoon. With the boiling water your film inside the shell of your egg cooks instantly protecting the egg from sticking to the shell. Make sure to add a pinch of salt to the water before putting in the eggs. Once eggs are cooked poor off hot water, run cold over them and then peel at your convenience.
