Visions of My Valentines Day

I almost feel a bit of guilt as I realize how spoiled I was by my Valentine. He brought home a dozen roses and a card that played silly love song music. I was all dressed and ready when he got home and we went to a restaurant a good 45 minute drive away and ate seafood till I was about to pop! But when I feel a tad bit guilty for the indulgence I think back on all the years that we couldn't afford to do anything for each other (if it cost any money). But we always made sure the 3 children had gifts and goodies throughout the year on holidays. It feels kind of strange now after all this time that we can finally do some things for each other. (We've been married 25 years!) By the way, I made him a Valentine Card that I filled with all kinds of mushy stuff that I felt about him. I could tell he really liked it. He enjoyed that steak too!

March 20, 2008 - Hi!

Thank you for the visit on my blog. I also had another one http://www.caroleenstreasures.com. When I was still a child, I love reading used books from your country. I like the farms, barn, animals and your houses were beautiful. Not like ours here in the Philippines. Many are very poor. I read your valentine post and I was moved by it. Last February 8 we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with nothing. We always do that. Even birthdays seemed to be ordinary days for me and my husband. We are flat broke but we are very blessed to have each other. Like you, we always see to it to have a present for our daughter during birthdays and holidays. I am looking forward to having a moment like yours when we can do something for each other. I am so blessed to have read your blog. Thank you so much!
