I just had to show you these pictures and share the story.  Some weeks back my little granddaughter's school class of 4 year olds voted her to be Mardi Gras Queen 2008.  We went to see her last week in her school gym for the Mardi Gras Ball.  She walked arm in arm with her little classmate who was voted king and stood under an arch decorated with purple, gold and green decorations while their names and the names of their parents were announced.  Each class grade at the school had their own king and queen.  Afterwards music was played while they all walked around the gym for all the families and friends to see them and take their pictures.  The next day was the school parade with some little decorated floats and they got to get in the parade of decorated floats and vehicles and throw candy and beads out to all the students and parents.

Before it all started a lady saw my granddaughter and told her she looked like a princess!  And my granddaugher patted her little chest with her chubby little hand and said with her eyes all lit up and a sweet smile on her face, " Well I FEEL like one!!"
