We have the mule deer here, too-- and they are sure characters! (I was told they are actually somewhat retarded, at any rate in comparison to the white-tailed deer, they are!) LOL

Like Illora (who lives 20 mins away from us), we have them everywhere, too! We actually name them...one stiffed my tushy while I was bent over gardening. Scared the crap out of me! They hang with the horses and eat their hay. They also sleep next to the house--for the warmth. They chase the cat but never hurt him. Great Animals! Great Photo! Will show my husband when he's done shoveling the hayshed & horseshed (they are caving in from the 3ft of snow we just got).
